A HUGE heartfelt thank you from the committee to everyone who came along or contributed to our ball this year.
It was a fantastic night and the amount raised was an incredible £45,000!!
The Rockettes started the night off with their impressive vampire routine. David Kerr was on great form and did a marvellous job as our host. Dr O’Rourke from the Beatson kindly explained how important our donations to the Beatson are and made a fabulous heartfelt speech. Graham Burke did a great job as always with the auction, and Atlantic Avenue made sure that no-one wanted to sit down for the rest of the evening!
Our photographer this year was from Icon Photography.....please click here to find the photos and order copies (you will find us under Events).... or click here to view a video snapshow of them.... they’re great!
Icon photography will donate £5 to our fund for all photos ordered...we have already received £500!
Yet again, the committee are overwhelmed by the effort everyone has made to help us raise such a wonderful amount. Thank you all.
We look forward very much to seeing you all at the next ball..............

16/02/09: Another hugely successful Valentine’s Ball!
What a night!!
Our second Valentine’s Ball raised a massive £54,000 for the Beatson Oncology Centre.
Despite the current financial crisis, our wonderful guests dug deep and really let their hair down. This made for a fabulous night!
The Rockettes started the night with an impressive routine, BBC newsreader and reporter David Kerr was a perfect host for the evening, our auctioneer, Graham Burke, did a superb job with the auction and Atlantic Avenue kept the dance floor filled all evening.
We, the committee, were overwhelmed once again by all the help and donations we received before and during the event, and send out a huge heartfelt THANK YOU to all our guests, friends, family and supporters....
Once again, Ronnie Syme was our photographer for the evening. There are some fantastic photos on his website www.ronniesyme.com Please take a look!

Hayston Golf Club raise £1000
In June 2008, Hayston Golf Club in Kirkintilloch held their annual Charity Day. They raised the fantastic sum of £1,000 which was very kindly donated to the Forget Me Not Fund. Some 28 three- man teams took part, along with professionals from the Scottish Tartan Tour. Many thanks to Club Secretary, Hugh Semple, and professional Stevie Gary who organised the event.
22/2/08: Valentines Ball raises over £62000!
Our very first event - a Valentine's Ball - took place at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow last Saturday night. What a fun-packed night it turned out to be!!
Our much-valued friends, patron Kaye Adams and BBC newsreader Sally Magnusson hosted the evening in superb style, and Ali Logan made sure that the auction was a massive success!
We were entertained by the fabulous Rockettes and danced the night away to Groove Station.
The incredible total raised for the Beatson Oncology Centre was in excess of £62,000.
We were overwhelmed by people's generosity, not only in monetary terms, but also with the time people afforded us before and during the event. We have so many people to be grateful to - thank you very much - we couldn't have done it without you.
There were some great photos taken by our photographer on the night - to view them please go to www.ronniesyme.com. Ronnie will donate money to the fund for every photo sold.

9/1/08: Mandy's fabulous 40th wig party raises £900 for the fund!
Mandy (or Scary as she is known to her nearest and dearest) turned fabulously forty at the weekend. She celebrated in style with a great shindig at Partick Thistle FC. A great night was had by all - well done to all for the great selection of wigs - some gorgeous, many very scary!!
Mandy asked for no birthday presents, and instead passed round a champagne bucket for donations to the fund. The very generous partygoers raised a fantastic £900!
A sincere thank you to all who donated - it is a fabulous start for our fund, and greatly appreciated. Thank you!
